Editorial Policy

At Dr. R.K. Thakur Hospital, we want you to know how the health content on our website is written, checked and kept up to date, so you can judge how far to rely on it. This website belongs to our hospital, and our treatment pages describe our own services. We work to keep every page factual.

How we write

We write for patients and families, many of whom read on a basic phone. We use short sentences and plain words, and we explain each medical term the first time it appears. Every page is written in English and in Hindi. The Hindi version uses everyday spoken language and is not a word-for-word translation.

  • We give typical ranges, such as the usual hospital stay, and say that the doctor decides for each patient
  • We do not promise results or use words like guaranteed or permanent cure
  • We do not publish exact prices
  • We describe only the facilities and services our hospital actually has

Medical review

Our doctors check every health article for medical accuracy. The name of the reviewing doctor is shown on each article once that doctor has approved it. The line "Medically reviewed by" appears only after approval, so an article still waiting for review does not show it.

Sources we use

We check medical facts against trusted, publicly available sources, such as:

  • MedlinePlus, from the US National Library of Medicine
  • The NHS (National Health Service, UK)
  • The World Health Organization (WHO)
  • Government of India websites, such as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the National Health Authority for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY

Reviews and patient stories

The reviews shown on our website are copied word for word from our public Google Business Profile. We do not edit them, we do not pay for reviews and we do not offer anything in return for them. Patient stories are published only with the patient's consent, or when they are based on public news reports. In news-based stories we do not name the patient.

No advertising influence

No drug company, equipment supplier or advertiser pays for or shapes our health content. We do not accept payment to publish, promote or change any article.

Updates and corrections

We review each health article at least once a year, and sooner if medical guidance or our services change. If you find a mistake, please tell us by email at drrkthakurhealthcare@gmail.com or by call or WhatsApp on +91 72739 94786. We check every report and correct confirmed errors as soon as we can.
